Three pedals that break the mould of classic overdrive - from the most organic vintage germanium fuzz to the most abrasive octave fuzz, not forgetting a real fuzz thought out in an already advanced British context.
The «Extreme Sounds» range doesn't just offer more saturation: it offers another texture, another reaction under the fingers, another way of making the guitar speak.. Where overdrive often extends the amp's character, fuzz adds its own voice - thicker, more unstable, sometimes wilder, often more expressive at the guitar's volume.
The Silver Haze is in the spirit of vintage germanium fuzz: soft, organic, reactive and highly responsive to play. L’OctaForge takes texture logic much further, with an analog octave and a deliberately more radical register. The British Drive, already present in the «Mon Son Principal» range, naturally finds its place here: its fuzz mode is a real treat. real fuzz, but thought as if it were already attacking an advanced British amp.

Straight to the point
You want the sound of vintage 60's fuzz
Germanium, warmth, soft, organic grain, strong interaction with guitar volume. The Silver Haze is built around selected OC44 NOS transistors - the very heart of its sonic identity.
You want thick, unpredictable textures
Heavy fuzz with analog top octave, aggressive harmonics, psychedelic, garage or stoner sounds. The OctaForge is the most radical of the range.
You want real fuzz in a British context
The British Drive combines Plexi-style overdrive with a true fuzz mode. The Big / Tight selector allows you to orientate the response towards a more massive Big Muff-type register, or a tighter, more nervous Fuzz Face style, always with the feel of a British amp already pushed.
You want something that reacts strongly to your game
All three pedals share a strong sensitivity to guitar attack and volume - more so than most overdrives. The Silver Haze is the most directly expressive in this respect.

Traditional germanium fuzzes often impose power supply constraints. Here, Silver Haze, OctaForge and British Drive all work with a standard 9V DC negative-center power supply.

From vintage to radical
The «vintage → radical» axis here corresponds to sonic character, not gain level. Silver Haze can be highly saturated while remaining soft and organic. British Drive remains more structured by its British base. OctaForge introduces a more extreme logic, with octave and instability as an integral part of the sound.

Fuzz intensity
The sound of NOS OC44 germanium transistors - the most organic and nuanced fuzz in the range.
The Silver Haze is built around a concrete reality: the OC44 NOS germanium transistors are out-of-stock components, selected one by one for their behavior. This is what gives it that warm, slightly veiled grain reminiscent of the great fuzz of the 60s - and it's also what makes it a necessarily limited production.
Its behavior is profoundly dynamic. Controlling Bias is the key to its personality: at low settings, the fuzz becomes unstable, almost sputtering - a grainy, unpredictable grain. As it rises, it stabilizes towards a fuller, more controlled saturation. The guitar volume cleans up the saturation directly, allowing you to switch from clean to fuzz without touching the settings.
Internal CLEAN trimmer adjusts response for single or humbucker pickups. Compatible with standard 9V DC power supply, no batteries required. True bypass. It's not the right choice if : you want very structured, tight fuzz or octave textures.
Plexi overdrive + real built-in fuzz
Fuzz intensity (fuzz mode)
A real fuzz integrated into a British platform, with a Big / Tight selector for a more Big Muff or Fuzz Face register.
The British Drive first appeared in the «Mon Son Principal» range as a Plexi-type overdrive - open crunch, present midrange, classic rock dynamics. But its fuzz mode is not a simple addition: it's a real fuzz, designed to operate within a British amp logic that is already saturating.
The most accurate image is that of a fuzz sent to a Marshall already pushed. The result is denser, rougher and thicker than an overdrive alone, but remains structured by this British base. The selector Big / Tight, active in fuzz mode, allows you to vary the response between a fuller, more massive register, in the spirit of Big Muff, and a tighter, more nervous and direct response, more in the spirit of Fuzz Face.
The Bass 3 positions then allows the bass base to be adapted to the amp and context. The British Drive doesn't replace a stand-alone vintage germanium fuzz like the Silver Haze, or a radical octave fuzz like the OctaForge: it offers another idea, that of a real fuzz integrated into an already advanced British sound. It's not the right choice if : you're only looking for a soft germanium fuzz or an experimental octave fuzz.
Analog octave fuzz - radical textures
Fuzz intensity
The most radical proposal in the range - thick fuzz with analog octave and experimental textures.
The OctaForge is based on a different principle from the other two pedals in the range: it doesn't try to be smooth or predictable in the classical sense. It is designed to produce textures thick, abrasive and deliberately unstable, with an analog upper octave whose presence varies according to the attack, the pickup used and the position on the neck.
The control Blend is central: it doses the presence of the octave in the mix, allowing you to go from a thick fuzz without a marked octave to textures where the octave becomes dominant. The 3-position input selector (Full Fat / Glass / Vintage) profoundly changes the character of the fuzz before you even touch the other settings. Internal settings allow you to fine-tune the clear and octave paths separately.
It's the pedal of the scale that most readily accepts unpredictability as an integral part of its sonic identity. It's not the right choice if : you want a wise, regular fuzz or one centered on a classic vintage spirit.

How to choose?
Pure fuzz or fuzz in an overdrive?
The Silver Haze and OctaForge are stand-alone fuzzes - they have no other mode. The British Drive is first and foremost a Plexi-type overdrive, but its fuzz mode is a true fuzz integrated into an already advanced British logic. If you want a totally dedicated fuzz, choose Silver Haze or OctaForge.

Silver Haze vs OctaForge - which of the two pure fuzzes?
Silver Haze is soft, organic and very musical. It can range from subtle to thick, but always remains vintage and expressive. OctaForge is in another world: heavier, with an octave that adds a layer of harmonic complexity and radicalism. Musical style is the best compass.

Where to place a fuzz in the chain?
The classic rule is to place the fuzz at the very beginning of the chain, directly after the guitar, before any other pedal. The interaction between guitar volume and a germanium fuzz like the Silver Haze is particularly important: other pedals placed before can alter this response in undesirable ways.

Silver Haze Bias control - what's it for?
Bias adjusts the polarization of the germanium transistors. At low settings, the fuzz becomes unstable and sputtering - a grainy, unpredictable grain. At higher settings, it stabilizes towards fuller saturation. This is one of the most expressive settings in the entire Teos Music range.
Stacked with other ranges?
A fuzz works very well before a light overdrive: the fuzz provides texture, the overdrive then refines legibility. A Centauride placed after a Silver Haze can refocus the sound. The British Drive, on the other hand, already incorporates this amp + fuzz logic into a single pedal.
